Start submissionAuthor Guidelines
Only original author's scientific articles that have not been previously published in other print or electronic publications are accepted for publication.
The placement of scientific articles in the journal is carried out in accordance with the standards of publishing ethics adopted by the international community, public organizations of Russian scientific publishers. To prevent ethical conflicts in the field of scientific publications, the norms of the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications, approved by the Committee on the Ethics of Scientific Publications, are being implemented.
Authors attention!
The collection of articles in the current issue ends on the 20th of the first month of the current quarter:
No. 1 acceptance of articles until January 20th;
No. 2 acceptance of articles until April 20th;
No. 3 acceptance of articles until July 20th;
No. 4 acceptance of articles until October 20th.
Starting in 2025, a fee of 700 rubles will be charged for editorial and publishing preparation per 1 page of the manuscript, made in Times New Roman font, size 14, line spacing - 1.5 intervals, margins around the perimeter of the page – 2 cm, paragraph indentation - 1 cm. Members of the Editorial Board/Council, the RANEPA Faculty of Law, external reviewers, as well as scientists with high scientometric indicators may be exempt from this payment.
When sending an article to the editors of the journal "North Caucasian Legal Vestnik", it is recommended to be guided by the following rules.
The manuscript is sent to the editor in electronic form through the yurvestnik-uriu@ranepa.ru. The file with the article loaded into the system must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (with *.doc, *.docx extensions).
The volume of the full text of the manuscript:
For the original article, the volume of the full text of the manuscript is from 15 A4 pages, typed in Times New Roman font, size 14 pt and line spacing 1,5 pt. This volume includes tables and a list of references (in Cyrillic and Latin). The volume of the manuscript is more than specified - in agreement with the editorial office (in the case when the excess volume of the article, in the opinion of the author, is justified and cannot be reduced, the decision to publish is made by the editorial board on the recommendation of the reviewer).
Check out the review form for the original article.

A scientific article should be classified - have a UDC and a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) - DOI, indicated in the upper left corner of the material. DOI search is carried out on the site http://search.crossref.org, for this you need to enter the title of the article in English in the search box. The file with the text of the article should contain all information for publication (including figures and tables).
he structure of the manuscript should comply with the international standard of presentation of the results of the author's research in a scientific article - IMRAD (“Introduction, Materials and methods, Results and Discussion”, i.e. “introduction, materials and methods, results and discussion”).
Title of the manuscript
Author/Authors of the manuscript. When writing the authors of the article, the name, patronymic, surname are indicated in full and in the given sequence (Ivan Petrovich Sidorov).
The name of the institution. It is necessary to give the official name of the institution (in accordance with the name specified in the statutory documents of the organization, without abbreviations). If authors from different institutions took part in writing the manuscript, it is necessary to correlate the full names of the authors and the names of institutions by adding numerical indices in upper case after the names of the corresponding authors and before the names of institutions affiliated with them. The city and country of residence are indicated. Each author must provide their e-mail and ORCID identification number. Note: to obtain a personal number, you must register on the site.
The summary of the article should be (if the work is original) structured: relevance, purpose, materials and methods, results, conclusions. The summary should fully correspond to the content of the work. The volume of the summary text should be within 250-300 words.
Keywords. You must specify keywords - up to 10-15, contributing to the indexing of the article in search engines. Key words should not be in alphabetical order, but in order of importance, separated by a punctuation mark "semicolon", at the end of the punctuation mark "dot" is not put.
English abstract
Article title. The English-language name must be competent from the point of view of the English language, while the meaning fully corresponds to the Russian-language name.

The most complete list of institution names and their official English version can be found on the RUNEB website eLibrary.ru.
Abstract (Abstract/Resume of the article) - should be 250–300 words or less. In the abstract it is obligatory to indicate: Purpose, Methods, Results, Conclusions.
The abstract has priority over the full text:
- Title, keywords, abstract in Russian and English = reader's interest, quality assessment of the text by editors and reviewers.
The English version of the summary of the article must, in terms of meaning and structure, fully correspond to the Russian version and be literate from the point of view of the English language.
Introduction. Here is a description of the relevance of the stated topic of the article and a review of scientific literature on it, indicates the purpose of the study, discloses special terms and abbreviations that will be used in the future.
Materials and Methods. Materials and methods of research should strictly correspond to those that are generally recognized for this branch of science or specifically on your topic. Also, the methods of obtaining scientific information are chosen in accordance with the theoretical concepts within which the author of the article conducted his research.
Results. Usually this is the largest section and definitely the most important, because it is for obtaining some results actually conducted scientific research, as well as writing articles. Everyone who reads them pays the closest attention to this point.
Discussion. Sometimes this section is the largest in volume, and it is also the key, because in it the author interprets the results obtained by him, compares with the data of similar studies on similar topics, analyzes the possibility of their use in science, technology or economic practice. Reviewers and readers usually study this paragraph very carefully.
Conclusions. This summarizes the research and/or publication in one or more paragraphs.
Information about the conflict of interest. Authors should disclose potential and apparent conflicts of interest related to the manuscript. Any situation (financial relations, service or work in institutions that have a financial or political interest in published materials, official duties, etc.) that can affect the author of the manuscript and lead to concealment, distortion of data, or change their interpretation can be considered a conflict of interest. The presence of a conflict of interest among one or more authors is not a reason for refusing to publish an article. Concealment of potential and obvious conflicts of interest on the part of the authors revealed by the editors may be the reason for refusal to consider and publish the manuscript.
Sponsorship information. It is necessary to indicate the source of funding for both the scientific work and the process of publishing the article (foundation, commercial or government organization, private person, etc.). The amount of funding is not required.
Acknowledgments. Authors can express their gratitude to people and organizations that contributed to the publication of the article in the journal, but are not its authors.
Contributions from authors and non-authors. In the "Acknowledgements" section, people who have contributed to the work but do not meet the criteria of authorship may be mentioned, for example: those who supported the research, performed the role of mentor, assisted in data collection, coordinated the research, etc. To correctly determine the contribution, the authors of the journal can use one of the schemes recommended by COPE:
General Guidelines for Authorship Contributions.
CRediT – Contributor Roles Taxonomy.
The article, if accepted for publication, is placed in the public domain. Copyright is reserved for the authors.
The full text (in Russian or English) should be structured into sections. The structure of the full text of the manuscript, devoted to the description of the results of original research, should correspond to the generally accepted template and contain sections: introduction (relevance), purpose and objectives, materials and methods, results, conclusions, and - at the request of the author - thematic subsections.
Tables should be placed in the text of the article and numbered (Table 1 - Tabl. 1), have clearly marked columns, convenient and understandable for reading. Titles should be given in italics in Russian and English. The table data should correspond to the numbers in the text, but should not duplicate the information presented in it. References to tables in the text are required.
Figures (graphs, charts, diagrams, drawings and other illustrations drawn using MS Office) must be contrasting and clear. The amount of graphic material is minimal (with the exception of works where it is justified by the nature of the study). Each figure must be placed in the text and accompanied by a numbered caption in italics in Russian and English (Fig. 1 - Fig. 1). The source of the drawing must be indicated (for example: publication, website, museum, photo of the author). References to figures in the text are required.
References and References
The design of the list of references is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Vancouver Style, indicating at the end of the index source a unique digital object identifier (English Digital Object Identifier, abbr. DOI), registered in the CrossRef system.
For reference:
Vancouver Citation Style (1973) is a sequential numerical style in which references to sources are numbered [in square brackets] in the course of their mention (citation) in the text: [1] - in the case when a link to a work, without specifying a specific page or range of pages; [1, p. 20] - in the case when the link is to a specific page or range of pages. (Note: the introduction of a hyperlink in the text that leads to a source in the References is welcome, the author will appreciate the convenience of working with hyperlinks when editing an article).
DOI search is carried out on the site, for this you need to enter the title of the article in English into the search box.
In the Reference List, each source should be placed on a new line under a serial number, which is automatically created in a text editor (note: do not force numbering!).
In the list, all works are listed in citation order, not alphabetical order.
References to sources are given in square brackets in Arabic numerals in the text of the article.
Number of cited works: up to 60 sources in original articles, up to 80 sources in reviews. In the bibliographic description of each source, ALL AUTHORS should be presented. If the publication has more than 4 authors, then after the 3rd author it is necessary to put the abbreviation "and others." or "et al." It is unacceptable to abbreviate the title of the article. The title of English-language journals should be given in full. The names of domestic journals cannot be abbreviated. The format of reference lists of references must comply with the requirements and standards of the US National Information Standards Organization NISO Z39.29-2005 [R2010]), which will ensure further indexing of the article in international databases. When citing journal articles (the most common source of information to cite), the following pattern should be followed:
- Author A. A, Co-author B. B. Title of the article. Name of the journal. Year. Volume (Number): p-p.
It should be noted that the title of the article and the journal should not be separated by the "//" sign. The abbreviated entry format should be used to describe the publication date, volume, journal number, and pages on which the article is published.
If the work is not published in Russian or English, it is necessary to indicate the language of publication in brackets - for example: (In Arabic).
References (list of references in English).
The numbering of works corresponds to the numbering in the "References".
The titles of Russian-language works are translated into English, the names of publishers are given in transliteration (for example: Nauka)
For works published not in English, the language of publication is indicated in brackets (for example: In Russ., In Arab.).
The rest of the design rules are similar to those used in the "References List".
- Compliance with ethical standards. For the publication of the results of the original work, it is necessary to indicate whether the participants in the study signed an informed consent.
Accompanying documents. When submitting a manuscript to the editorial office of the journal, you must additionally upload files containing scanned images of completed and certified accompanying documents (in*.pdf format). The accompanying documents include a cover letter from the author's place of work with the seal and signature of the head of the organization, as well as the signatures of all co-authors (a separate cover letter must be provided for each organization indicated in the manuscript).
Filling out an on-line form. For successful indexing of articles in domestic and international databases, when submitting a manuscript to the editor through the online form, it is necessary to separately enter all its metadata in detail. Some metadata must be entered separately in Russian and English: the name of the institution where the authors of the manuscript work, detailed information about the place of work and position held, the title of the article, the abstract of the article, keywords, the name of the sponsoring organization.
- The authors. ATTENTION! Full name of the AUTHOR is filled in only in English. It is necessary to completely fill in the personal data of all authors. The e-mail address of the author indicated as a contact person for correspondence will be published to communicate with the team of authors in the text of the article, and will be freely available to Internet users and subscribers of the printed version of the journal.
- Title of the article. Must be fully dubbed in English.
- Abstract of the article. Must fully match the text in the manuscript file in both English and Russian.
- Article indexing.
- Keywords. You must specify keywords - from 10 - 15, contributing to the indexing of the article in search engines. Key words should be translated into English in pairs, separated by a punctuation mark "semicolon".
- language. It is necessary to indicate the language in which the full text of the manuscript is written. In the case when the author publishes an article in two languages, you must specify double indexing by language (for example, [ru;en]).
- References. References should be formatted according to the Vancouver style of citing sources.
- Additional data in the form of separate files should be sent to the editor along with the article immediately after uploading the main manuscript file. Additional files include accompanying documents, image files, source data (if the authors wish to submit them to the editors for review or at the request of reviewers), video and audio materials that should be published along with the article in an electronic journal. Before submitting, you must enter a description for each file you submit. If the information from the additional file is to be published in the text of the article, it is necessary to give the file an appropriate name (for example, the description of the image file must contain a numbered caption, for example: Fig. 3. Pages of the manuscript of the book by Mikhail Mikhailovich Speransky).
- Finish submitting the article. After downloading all additional materials, you need to check the list of files to be submitted and complete the process of submitting the article. After the sending procedure is completed (within 7 days), an e-mail address indicated by the authors when submitting the manuscript will receive a notification about the receipt of the article by the editors (the absence of a letter is a confirmation that the manuscript has not been received by the editors). The author can contact the editors (editor or reviewers) at any time, as well as track the stage of processing his manuscript through his personal account on this site.
